EFI 2020, October 2020 update

EFI 2021 will be a full virtual conference!

Dear friends and colleagues,

As the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic still goes on and the COVID-19 infection rates take off all over Europe we were informed that our EFI2020/EFI2021 conference venue, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), cannot host the joint EFI and BSHI Conference in Glasgow on 22nd to 25th April 2021.

Therefore, the EFI Executive Committee decided to abandon the plans for an in-person-conference in 2021 and have a virtual EFI 2021 Conference instead, as this was the case with this year's EBMT, TTS and other major scientific conferences. We are very sorry about this, however, we are convinced that this was the right decision to take in the interest of our members, the sponsors and the other attendees.

Together with the local organisers and the various EFI Committees we will now be working on a fully virtual e-conference which will fulfil the aim to deliver an excellent scientific and educational program..

Further details about the EFI2021 event will be released by the Conference Organising Team in the coming weeks.

In the mean while I would like to encourage you all not to miss the opportunity and register for the virtual conference of our sister society, ASHI, which takes place next week and for which participation will be complimentary for all EFI members.

Stay safe and protect yourself, your families and your staff!
