Julia Bodmer Award 2025 - Call for Applications
Invitation for applications and nominations for the prestigious Julia Bodmer Award. The award will be presented on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025, during the Opening Ceremony of the 38th EFI Conference in Prague, Czech Republic.
The Julia Bodmer Award recognizes a young scientist for their outstanding contributions to Immunogenetics. This award also acknowledges the laboratory where the scientist conducted their research.
Any member of the EFI can propose a candidate for the Julia Bodmer Award. Application Requirements:
- The application must include the candidate’s concise resume, which should list their publications, and a letter of support from the head of the candidate’s laboratory.
- Candidates must be current members of EFI (or become members at the time of application) and must not be more than 10 years past the completion of their doctoral thesis, if applicable. Candidates who have not undertaken or completed a doctoral thesis are also eligible.
- All applications will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, which will make the final decision regarding the award recipient.
In addition to the presentation at the Opening Ceremony of the EFI Conference, the award winner will also be invited to contribute a dedicated “Julia Bodmer Review” to HLA, the official journal of EFI. The recipient will receive €1,000, as well as coverage for registration, travel, and lodging expenses for attending the EFI Conference.
