These are mainly targeted at individuals working as stem cell donor search coordinators, but as these courses covers many basic aspects of MHC genetics and HLA immunology, they may well be of use to staff preparing for ESHI Diploma exams etc or as an individual CME/CPD activity. The details on the courses, including registration, duration and cost can be found at the following site: https://www.wmda.info/professionals/developing-globally/education-opportunities/
A Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on kidney, pancreas and islet transplantation has been developed by transplant specialists of the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in collaboration with the Leiden University’s Centre for Innovation. Through interactive lectures, unique animated movies, and real time videos, health care professionals and medical students can learn everything about the aspects of clinical kidney transplantation, including immunogenetics and histocompatibility. The offered modules represent lectures, interactive patient cases, 3D movies, interviews with experts and with patients and a donor, a serious game to increase knowledge of the field, and an active forum.
