19th IHIWS in Japan!

On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee of the 19th International HLA & Immunogenetics Workshop (IHIWS), we are pleased to invite you to Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, from May 19 to 24, 2026.

The 19th IHIWS will be an exciting opportunity for experts in the field of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) and immunogenetics to come together to discuss the latest research and advancements in the field. This event will bring together researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals from around the world to share their experiences, insights, and knowledge, and we believe that your presence will be valuable to the success of the conference.

Surrounded by bountiful nature but not far from the urban Tokyo, Numazu, the host city, will add an unforgettable memory to you. Flanked on one side by the majestic Mt. Fuji and Japan’s deepest bay, Suruga Bay, it is the gateway to the Izu Peninsula known for its famous hot springs. Your time in Numazu promises you to be refreshed as well. We are more than ready to welcome you. During the Workshop, we are planning a one-day sightseeing tour around Mt. Fuji and Hakone. We assure you will enjoy the picturesque scenery of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji, the highest peak in Japan.
