Launch of the COVID-HLA-GENOME (COHLAGE) project

The COVID-19 pandemic had a major impact in the economies and health care systems of our countries and affected hugely our daily life for months now. The HLA scientific community has started several initiatives worldwide in order to investigate the impact of the HLA polymorphism on COVID-19. In the frames of the international HLA workshop a cooperative, international project on HLA and COVID-19 is now initiated which will hopefully be able to bundle as many activities as possible in this field. The details of this project could be found here.

EFI strongly supports this initiative and would like to recommend to all European groups working in this area to consider collaboration within this project, in which EFI is a coordinating and supporting partner.
