Welcome to the 19th International Histocompatibility Summer School
The 19th International Summer School on Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics, hosted by the European Federation for Immunogenetics (EFI) with support from the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI), the Asia Pacific Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Association (APHIA) and the Arabic Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ARSHI) will take place at Lyttos Beach Resort and Sports Centre at Hersonissos, Heraklion, Crete from 11th - 14th November
Early applications are required as attendance is limited to promote open discussion and facilitate presentation of research by each participant.

Application information
The International Summer School, sponsored by EFI, ASHI, APHIA and ARSHI provides a focused course on all aspects of theoretical and applied immunogenetics and histocompatibility. The meeting is limited to a small group of participants and is geared toward graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, laboratory directors in training and experienced technologists in the field of histocompatibility and/or immunogenetics with an interest in research or advanced learning opportunities.
The 19th International Summer School on Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics requires all attendees to complete an application for review before being approved to register and attend the 15th International Summer School.
This application requests the following documents:
- Copy of the participants curriculum vitae
- Letter of motivation
- Abstract of own research, development work or a clinical case study
- Letter of support from mentor, supervisor or sponsor
- Copy or verification of society membership with either EFI, ASHI, APHIA or ARSHI
*If approved to attend, the abstract that was submitted will be presented during the program by the attendee.
The deadline for applications is 30th June 2026.
All applicants will be notified via email by 30th July 2026 as to whether their application has been successful.

Hotel information
The registration fee for the International Summer School is €500 and includes:
- registration to the Summer School,
- 3 nights all-inclusive hotel stay (Wednesday 11th November, Thursday 12th November and Friday 13th November 2026),
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner during the duration of the Summer School for Wednesday -Saturday
